After supper blood games #2: Thredbo Stair Jam!

A dozen southern-hemi grinders "slide one of the most unique street features in Australia."

From the presser: What do you get when 12 of the best snowboarders in the Southern Hemisphere get the opportunity to ride and slide one of the most unique street features in OZ ? Jye’s Jam is what you get! Thredbo opened up the iconic Friday Flat stair set for one night only, allowing the best shredders to step up and hit the gnarly kink rail and gap option, putting on a night of heated action for over 300 spectators to enjoy.

Jye Kearney, Burton team rider and Thredbo Ambassador is no stranger to hitting the streets and handpicked his top 12 riders to step up and compete in the 3rd Annual Jye’s Jam. Jye with the help of legendary pro snowboarders, Ryan Tiene and Charles Beckinsale were the judging panel for the event and had their eyes out for consistency and style.

All riders put on an absolute show for everyone to enjoy with more spin on, presses, gaps, slides and grabs the event has ever seen before. Andy James took to the feature with ease, putting down a gap switch backside lip slide for his first hit of the night…loose!

The two Canadian riders, Bryce Bugera and Tommy Vanman both showed the Aussies a thing or two, riding the kink and gap with effortless style the entire night. Tommy was bouncing his way through every slide and Bryce was the only rider to take to the flat gap through the kink option, making it look way to easy.

Troy Sturrock blew the minds of the crowd with his fast paced approach, pressing and gapping his way through the night wowing the judges and amping up the crowd. Beau Fisher was taking it to the next level, attempting all 270’s on the gap option and riding most of the evening swtich.

Harry Green, the prince of Mansfield was on a roll the entire evening, landing almost every attempted trick and wowing the judges with a clean switch back 270, frontside 270, switch slides and a creative approach on all options of the feature.

Harry walked away with best overall rider of the night, taking home $1,500 and some serious bragging rights as the judges were blown away at his level of riding and consistency.
