From the presser: Butterflies aren’t the only thing making big moves around Mt. Hood. The Dirty Pimp crew has made the trip over from Japan to lap at a summer snowboarding destination a bit on the far side for them. Pimpin’ ain’t easy, but it sure is stylish. Sick Days: Orem Stepdown

I live in Salt Lake City, Utah for a reason. It’s the best place on earth to be a snowboard photographer. You can shoot street, pow and park all in one day, which makes it super efficient to get a lot of variety in your photography in just one winter. On these particular days, Jeremy Jones, Jake Welch and Pat Moore were filming for various projects (Pat and Jeremy, for Blueprint and Jake for Real Snow) so they hit me up to get a lens on ’em for a few sessions. What resulted were two of the heaviest days of shooting I’ve ever been a part of. These guys are modern day superheroes and what they can do on a snowboard is nearly incomprehensible, and until you see it in real life, it doesn’t seem like it can be real.
